Today I woke up at 6am and finished studying for the Mineralogy lab quiz. Then I went to school and took the quiz over carbonates and sulfates. Then we completed a lab about light refraction of minerals in oils of different densities. Next I went to Anthropology lecture and learned what a chiefdom is. Texas A&M is a great example of a chiefdom. Then I went to Field Methods and learned about a 3 point method of determining a dip of a tabular body of rock. After that I worked on homework and studied for a few hours. In Geos 101 we learned about sedimentary studies around the world and in our galaxy.  Now I’m going to spend a few hours doing homework.

Today I woke up at 7am and got some breakfast burritos.  The class left the motel at 8am.  Dr. Heaney explained the Turkey Prairie area to us, and then we hit the road back home to College Station.  Once home, I had no internet. This really limited my studying abilities, but I still had enough resources to make due. I finished off the day with a little bit of video gaming with my neighbor before studying for my Mineralogy lab quiz. Then I hit the hay after a long weekend.

Today I woke up at 6am, and Danny, Tate and I ate breakfast burritos. Then the whole Field Methods class went to Turkey Prairie near Mason,TX, and we mapped it out to the best of hour abilities.  We were given about 7 hours to make a map and a side structural sketch.  Then we got back to Mason in time to watch the Aggies loose their game against Auburn.  Then we relaxed and studied the rest of the night.

Well, I’m all packed up and ready to go on an adventure.  Today will start with an Anthropology lecture covering body art and manipulation.  Then I will get in a van, and four hours later I’ll be in Mason, TX.  I’ll be there until Sunday making a geological map for Field Methods.  Hopefully it will go smoother than last time.

Today I started my day with Mineralogy lecture. I learned about light refraction in minerals.  Also I learned multiple differences to look for in different minerals. Then I met up with Tom O, and he gave me a key to the lab that I’ll be doing research at throughout the semester.  Then a quick Differential Equations class. Then I spent most of the day preparing for the Field Methods field trip leaving tomorrow.  

Today I woke up on time at 6am again and studied for the Mineralogy lab quiz.  Then I went to lab and took the quiz. Aced it. Then I studied the next sample of minerals which includes carbonates, phosphates and sulfates. Then I went to Anthropology and learned about what art is in a cultural point of view. After that, I went to Field Methods and learned about a geological stereo net, and we finished with an overview of this upcoming field trip.  Now it’s time to prepare for the field trip.

Today I woke up early and did a little studying for Differential Equations. Then I checked my E-mail and learned that Differential Equations class was canceled today, for Blocker flooded over the weekend.  So I went to Mineralogy class and learned more about seismic data, and how it is calculated.  Then I went and worked in a lab for Dr. Olszewski.  That is comprised of sorting 1mm shells under a microscope.  Now I’m going to study some Mineralogy, to prepare for a quiz tomorrow, before I go to bed.  

Today I actually didn’t sleep in for a change.  I woke up and studied for the quiz that I took in Mineralogy lab today. Then I studied the next set of minerals that I’ll be quizzed on on Wednesday.  Then I watched a video about art in Anthropology.  Next we learned about what patterns tabular bodies of rocks leave in a river body in field methods.  After that I studied for a few hours and then went to Geos 101 and Dr. Reece gave a presentation about seismology.  Now I’m going to study a little bit before getting ready for bed.

Today was a free day.  I did some random studying for each class and got caught up on my reading.  Then I ate some Pho with my neighbor.  After I napped off the Pho, I started studying again.  It’s a nice and productive day.

Today was a nice and relaxing day.  I got some homework done. I did a little studying, and I relaxed. Also the Aggies won again.
