Today I woke up early and studied for the Mineralogy exam again.  After that, I went ti Mineralogy and learned about elastic properties of rocks. Next, I practiced some Differential Equations and then went to that class.  After that, I went to my academic adviser, and  we figured out my game plan for next semester and the summer.  Now I’m finishing my day with more studying.

I started my day studying for Mineralogy, and then I went to Mineralogy lab.  In lab, we looked at minerals for the first time this semester. Next I went to Anthropology and learned about different norms of marriage around the world. After that we learned about measuring thicknesses of cliff faces from a distance and mapping strati-graphic columns.  Then I went to Blocker to study Mineralogy for a few hours before going to GEOS 101. At GEOS 101 we had tacos and were introduces to the micro-prob. The micro-prob is an about 1.5 million dollar electron microscope in the Geoscience building.  Now it is time to study Mineralogy again.

Today was a nice and relaxing day.  I got some studying done for the Mineralogy exam next Thursday. Also, I did my laundry. Now it’s time to rest up for tomorrow.

Today was a very relaxing day for studying.  I was able to wake up early and study all day. I finally enjoyed some blueberry “Blazing” jam from Sulak’s Country Store. Which I am actually a relative of the Sulak family. Now I am going to spend the rest of my day studying.

Today’s school day was a great day.  It started with a morning of light studying.  It progressed into a light lecture in Anthropology. And, it ended with a test I felt over prepared for in Field Methods.  Ohhh. Also Dr. Kronenberg gave a great review for next week’s test.  After School I took a pleasant walk around the George Bush Library with my neighbor and his dog.

Today I expanded my knowledge of lattices in Mineralogy.  Also, I feel that I did well again on a Differential Equations quiz. Only time will tell though.  After Differential Equations, I asked Dr. Heaney some questions about the test tomorrow, and I spoke to Dr. Olszewski about possible research work. Then I studied for the Field Methods exam that is tomorrow. And now I’m taking a break before studying again.

09/25/2013

Today I got to start off by studying for an extra couple of hours, for Mineralogy lab was canceled.  That was followed by a relaxing Anthropology class since we just had a test on Monday.  After Anthropology class, I had a very inclusive review of what will be on the Field Methods test Friday.  Now it’s time for more studying.

today I deeply enjoyed sleeping in until 7:30am.  I enjoyed learning about latices in Mineralogy. I finally got a 100 on a Differential Equation quiz, and I had a relaxing afternoon studying Field Methods.  I hope Dr. Heaney gives us an Idea of the scope of studying that needs to be done for the midterm Friday.  Well, a couple more hours of studying and then sleepy time.

Today I had a nice quiz in Mineralogy lab fallowed by an enjoyable lab. afterwards I took my first test at Texas A&M. Luckily it was in Anthropology. I feel comfortable with the experience.  Afterwards I went to Field Studies and got back a bad grade in strike and dip, but I didn’t see a higher one.  Now it”s time to prepare for tomorrow.

Today we packed back up in the vans and went back out to the site.  Dr. Heaney showed us what we should have seen the day before, and many of us were very disappointed in our observations or lack there of.  After digesting our mistakes, we hoped back into the vans and headed back to College Station, TX.  It was a nice relaxing 4 hour drive filled with studying, napping, and reflection.
